I have had several emails and verbal complains about skill levels.  I want to provide some answers to the most commonly asked questions or statements.

1.    You moved me up.  Answer:  No I did not move you or your players up or down.  The computer system does that.  It knows what to do by the score sheet YOU turn in.

2.    This player is no skill level #, they should be at least a skill level #.  Answer:  This could be true or just because they beat you or your teammate.  I get this statement and then I look at the score sheets to get the answer.  Also, you see a player shoot one time and you are an expert on what skill level that person is?

3.    This player is/was not shooting to their ability, they are trying to build innings to keep their handicap low or I heard them say run up the innings.  Answer:  When I look at the score sheet and this player has 30 innings in 3 or 4 games and there are NO defensive shots or only one defensive shot marked, then all I can assume is they tried to make each shot and just missed.  After all, that is what YOU marked.

4.    I am never at the top in Top Gun but other players are always there.  Answer:  Top Gun is figured two ways, win percentage and performance percentage.  This means, the computer takes into account:  skill level you are, the skill level of the players you played, number of games won by you and number of games you played, and a few other factors.  It is the more accurate of the true Top Gun.  It depends on you, who you shoot and how you play.

Some players who do all the complaining and don't understand do so because they did not read the rule book to find out about skill levels and how they are calculated.  Read the rule book, check out the national site, watch the youtube video "understanding defensive shots" and keeping score correctly.

If there are players that are being dishonest, THEN TEAMS ARE LETTING THEM GET AWAY WITH IT!  Scorekeepers who do not know what a defensive shot is should read up on it or be told by a more experienced player to mark it.

I CAN NOT BE EVERYWHERE; I RELY ON YOUR SCOREKEEPING AND THE SCORESHEET!

Before you complain, read the above again.  Then go to our website and print out the necessary form and return it in your packet ASAP.

Thank you, Mark
